Each year, students of all ages in the Lee’s Summit R-7 District have the opportunity to participate in the PTA Reflections Program.  The theme this year “Magic of the Moment” and all entries in any of the art categories, dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts, will relate to the theme in some way.

The categories have remained the same over the years, but this year saw a change in the levels. Previous years offered only primary, intermediate, middle school, and high school, but this year a “special artist” category has been added.

This category is not split into grade levels and according to www.lsr7.org/news, it is an option for students with “physical, cognitive or mental health challenges as set forth in the American Disabilities Act.”

All entries are due November 30 and will be first judged at the school level. Those who placed will then have the opportunity to place at state and national levels.
