This past weekend, FBLA hosted the annual Father-Daughter dance fundraiser.

The dance is held for elementary school girls who will eventually become future Titans and their dads. This year was one of the biggest turnouts, with about 60 girls in attendance.

Senior Audrey White has been involved with the dance for the past three years.

“Every year we have lights hung up on the balcony and trees up by the D.J. booth, it’s basically a winter wonderland for girls,” said White.

FBLA went through an extensive planning period in order to organize the dance.

“We have to make are we raise enough money to buy a present for every girl there as well as prizes for some of the dads,” said White. “Our goal this year is to make sure every girl leaves with something, it may not be big, but we want them all to feel special when they leave.”

White said the best thing about the dance was watching all the little girls.

“It was really cool to see how all of the girls interacted with each other, there were so many and they were all running around like best friends whether they knew each other or not. It’s always cool to witness stuff like that, it really brings you back to elementary school again.”
