It’s no surprise that LSW is crawling with student-athletes. They’ve won state titles, district championships, and travel the country with their individual club teams. A recent trend with these athletic students has been their participation in recreational soccer teams for fun. Currently in the league of this is the team “Scrappy and Happy”. This team contains Sophomore and Junior students, some who play soccer and some who do not. The team is 8-0.
“We started out as the underdogs playing teams that have West Varsity soccer players on them. However, we beat them all even though we weren’t expected too and we’re hoping to go undefeated,” Junior Grey Rogers said. Scrappy and Happy’s next game is on Friday, Jan. 30 at Z-Sports.
