Titan softball has secured their spot in the MHSAA State Semifinals after their win against Liberty North in the Quarter Finals last Thursday Oct. 21.

“The softball team practices after school every single day. As Coach Doane has told us, ‘Sweat before screens,’” catcher Madi (Mac) Moore said. She said that the team puts in effort outside of practice by coming up to the school after hours to throw the ball around, crossfit, intentional team bonding, and holding each other accountable.

“After winning quarter finals, it’s a whole other feeling. Knowing you’re going to State, and you’re winning the games needed with the team you’ve worked so hard with is indescribable,” Moore said. “We plan on winning it all this year. Our next step is to work as a team to enhance our hitting and overall game play.”

The Lady Titans will continue their fight for the State title, as they compete in the Final Four. State will be held in Springfield, MO on Oct. 28-29. Semifinals are on Thursday, followed by the championship game Friday.
